Joint Committee on Climate Change (JC3) | The Joint Committee on Climate Change (JC3) outlined initiatives to strengthen Malaysian market's capacity to manage climate-related risk and enhance their role in green finance. They hope to develop guidance documents on risk management and scenario analysis to complement their Climate Change and Principles-Based Taxonomy (CCPT). The committee will also broaden engagements with relevant stakeholders to identify and enable the structuring of green financial products and solutions.
The JC3 comprises of five sub-committees which focuses on specific topics that manage exposures to climate risks and facilitate businesses on their transition towards sustainable practices. The five sub-committees will focus on: risk management, governance, and disclosure; product and innovation; and engagement and awareness. |

Sustainable Investment Platform (SIP) | Jointly established by the Institutional Investors Council Malaysia (IIC) and CMM, SIP supports institutional investors and the fund management industry in building the depth of sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) strategies which align financial returns with broader ESG priorities. | Environmental, Social, Governance | |
Centre of Sustainable Corporation (CSC) | Leading and working with strategic partners, CMM will establish regional centres of excellence (COEs) to accelerate capabilities of Malaysia's industry players in sustainable and responsible investing (SRI). The COEs will help develop expertise and position Malaysian corporates as sustainable investment targets for foreign investors.
